A very "evil" plan to end the story.

But Mazer was bored of making Monsters, he wanted something more original then this, so he set out to build a mechanism with the essences of the monsters, a force of some kind which he could manipulate with his friends. Thus he looked at the list he had here in the lands of monsters, and listing a basic property from them:

Unreach

Blockade

Deconstruct

Infinity

So he wanted to build something that: Unreached the blockade deconstructing infinity.

A tool that would permit him to go around the arrival to the knowledge of infinities downfall ( that it could go on pointlessly forever ) but it would require causing the illusion that knowledge stopped there, providing some form of aid to the person.

Thus he took to the problems he created and selected them as endings that could be positive in his eyes. As such his monsters became ends that didn't mean the end of the world ( but were still bad because it finished the story ). 

Thus he prepared to release it, to finish the chapter of the story.
